Briefly introduce yourself
I am an Argentine-Canadian composer, I seek through music to create a soundscape that draws on human emotions, through their strengths, frustrations and poetry.
How would you define your style?
My style is based on the search for new tones that create textures which are complex, violent and fragile at the same time.
Tell us about your work, which is on the Oper’Actuel— Works in Progress 2019 program
Appena prima, Appena dopo (just before, just after) is an opera project that emerged from a meeting with playwright Ana Candida de Carvalho Carneiro. It features three women who live in three different countries and who are going through a pseudo-revolutionary process: an attempt to fight for liberation and change, which is doomed to fail.
What made you want to participate in Oper’Actuel?
The special framework of Oper’Actuel, a venue for encounters and creations between composers, librettists and musicians, centred on different projects.
