L’orangeraie unveils its first colours! The creators, singers and musicians of L’orangeraie came together from January 10 to 12 to do a first reading of the new Chants Libres opera. Under the direction of Lorraine Vaillancourt, the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne and the singers read through the score for the first time under the watchful eye of its creators: Zad Moultaka (music), who came from Bayreuth for the occasion, Larry Tremblay (libretto) and Pauline Vaillancourt (stage direction). These first rehearsals caught the attention of La Presse, giving the piece its first media coverage. (L’orangeraie becomes an opera)
