ABOUT OPER’ACTUEL

Chants Libres, under the artistic direction of Pauline Vaillancourt, is proud to present the 5th edition of its Oper’Actuel — Works In Progress event, which gives audiences the opportunity to discover a whole range of new music and new possibilities for opera. Previous editions allowed 23 composers to hear and see their new opera projects as works in progress and allowed 45 singers and a large number of musicians to gain valuable experience in the creation of new music. This pedagogical and creative event brings together producers, professionals, teachers and creative artists in a singular event, and opens the doors to a new and young audience.
